KTAI — Our Journey
Building an accessible AI platform for everyone
The Beginning
KTAI began as an idea to create an accessible AI platform for everyone, especially the Arab region. Most AI tools were expensive, restricted, or difficult to use. We wanted to build something simple, fast, and free.
Early Planning
We defined the foundation of the platform: fast AI tools, a clean interface, and a system that empowers users and developers without limitations.
Core System Development
We began building the first version of our backend infrastructure and testing early AI model integrations.
Building the First Discord Bot
To test real user needs, we launched the first version of the KTAI Discord bot. It allowed us to understand user interactions and evaluate system performance under real usage.
Identifying Provider Limitations
As more users joined, we reached over 500 early testers. We discovered several issues in the external AI provider we were relying on, such as slow responses, instability, scaling problems, and limited model support. These limitations pushed us to develop our own solution.
Building the KTAI AI Gateway
We designed and built our own AI Gateway—an independent layer capable of handling large-scale requests, choosing the best model for each user, and supporting multiple AI providers instead of relying on a single source.
Handling Over 1 Million Requests
During internal testing, the Gateway processed over one million AI requests, proving its stability, speed, and scalability.
Supporting 40+ Advanced AI Models
KTAI integrated more than 40 powerful AI models, including GPT-5, Grok 4.1, Claude 4.5, Llama, Qwen, DeepSeek, and more. This gave users access to a wide range of high-quality AI capabilities under one unified platform.
System Optimization
We improved performance, reduced response time, enhanced error handling, and increased support for multilingual output, especially Arabic.
Building the Official Platform
We began developing the full KTAI platform with tools including Chat, Image Generation, Captioning, Translation, Blog, Tools Dashboard, and Gateway integration.
Preparing for Public Release
We focused on refining the UI, testing new features, improving stability, and completing documentation for the official launch.
